Well, that ended… interestingly. Today’s games had a few moments of excitement, but also a lot of group-stage scenario calculations. Senegal v Colombia is okay, but if you missed both of these you didn’t miss much, in my opinion.

“It’s not been as entertaining as we thought it might be. But, we still have another half to go!” – JP Dellacamera on Fox, about #SENCOL (may as well be for #JPNPOL, too). #AWCHQ ⚽️

It ends… today. The group stage of the 2018 #WorldCup, that is. We start in Group H, with Japan vs Poland & Senegal vs Colombia. #POL is already eliminated, but the other 3 could all possibly advance! What kind of games are we in store for today? #AWCHQ #JPNPOL #SENCOL ⚽️

…and now I’m caught up with the present! Those later games weren’t bad; credit to #CRC for giving #SUI a tough game. Belatedly, my pick if I have to make one for today’s games is: Korea vs. Germany. Tomorrow: we finish the group stage! #AWCHQ #SERBRA #SUICRC ⚽️

Greetings from the past! Another travel day for me means delayed viewing, I’m still in the first halves of the Group E games: #SER & #BRA duking it out to get to the knockout rounds; SUI looking for a result against already-eliminated #CRC. #AWCHQ #SERBRA #SUICRC ⚽️

Mein Gott! All context once again, and it’s the Korea vs Germany game I’d recommend. WOW. #AWCHQ #KORGER #MEXSWE ⚽️

Four teams, two games, round of 16 awaits one, adds up to: zero excitement so far. Okay, maybe not zero. Zero point six three seven excitement so far. Hoping for more in the second 45! #AWCHQ #MEXSWE #KORGER ⚽️

A new day, & two more groups to finish! Today we ditch alphabetical order & start in Group F, with Korea Republic vs. Germany (#KORGER, should be sponsored by Kroger) on one screen, with Mexico vs. Sweden on the other. Any 2 of these could advance! #AWCHQ #MEXSWE ⚽️

Wow. What a pair of games, All the teams playing their hearts out (except maybe #CRO; they weren’t taking the day off but they weren’t dying for it like the other 3). My recommendation is as easy as it is bandwagony-seeming: Nigeria vs. Argentina all the way.
